Quality

Quality means that Maine Painting will honestly advise you of your preparation and painting needs, rather than overlook important aspects of the job just to keep the price down. I will do all the work as contracted, rather than cutting corners on surface preparation, priming or applying only one coat of paint where two are needed. I believe in the value of good preparation and use only the best premium products and brands such as Sherwin-Williams® primers, paints, varnishes and stains.

I do not thin paint as many "painters" do. Almost all applications are applied with brush and roller. There is simply no better method for most applications where quality is desired.

Surfaces are always cleaned as needed to remove any soil or mildew prior to preceeding with any other preparation. All joints are then caulked as needed with quality materials. All loose and or flaking paint is always removed to a solid surface by scraping or sanding. All bare substrate is alway properly cleaned, sanded and primed before painting. I always seal all stains such as ink, water, crayon and tannin prior to the application of any topcoat.

I see painting not as an expense, but as a long-term investment in the future of your home. It is my desire to do both interior and exterior repeat business with you in the years to come.
