| I recall one recent house exterior. . . It was "professionally" completely painted just three years before. A lot of the paint on the side most exposed to the sun was literally worn off the house with bare wood showing.
The paint looked worse than some houses I've seen that haven't been painted for twenty years or more. This was the result of poor prep, low quality materials.
The painter never removed the shutters so that the clapboard siding could be completely painted underneath. The faux shutters were painted while they were still attached to the house. In addition the removable copper gutters were not removed so that the facia could be completely painted.
